ALSO CHECK OUT - How I Murdered Myself
Visually this is a spectacular, majestic, breathtaking film! Jaw dropping, eye popping too. It's slow and steady and yet tense and gripping... and oh, so, so beautiful, that it leaves a solid impact just for the visuals. One can even watch it as a slideshow, without the audio and the the sound, specially the second half. Quite frankly, it's the Marilyn Monroe of films!

Not that the story is bad. In fact it's super unique too. We
are transported to 2057. The Earth is freezing and dying because the source
giving it heat and power, the sun, is dying too. The fire in the belly of the
sun is all but extinguished and it has to be reignited. And to set it aflame
again, a crew of eight are going to deliver a gigantic nuclear bomb to belly of
the sun, on a spaceship called the Icarus II. The Icarus I was was lost seven
years ago and hasn't been heard of since so Icarus II is the last attempt to
save earth and the life on it.
The plan is that once the spaceship is in firing range, the
crew will send the gigantic nuke into the sun, and beat the hell out of there
and safely return to the once again warm, reheated Earth.
All is well in all the worlds but as they approach the sun,
they hear the distress signal of Icarus I, that was lost 16 months ago!
Now the decision is made to carry the bomb of Icarus I with
them as they are twice as likely to succeed with two bombs under their wing.
But things go dramatically wrong, and a safe and sound mission becomes one hell of a dangerous trip with the crew split on what is the
best course of action.
This is a British-American science fiction thriller film
directed by Danny Boyle and and he has made it boil, or atleast simmer with
tension throughout.
The lead actors here are Cillian Murphy, Chris Evans, Michelle Yeoh, amongst others. Chris Evans is now a bigger
star but here he plays second fiddle to Cillian Murphy.
So if you want an out of the world experience, that's as
good looking as it's lead stars then try traveling to the sun with Danny Boyle
and crew aboard the Sunshine.
